Kashif Bouns – Founder (Pakistan Shaheens)
Kashif Bouns is a Pakistani Muslim who has been living in Australia for the past 7 years. He is the Multicultural Programs Coordinator at the Australian Football League (AFL) Victoria, where he coordinates and oversees the multicultural programs for the AFL within the state as well as national level. Kashif volunteers his time for a number of organizations and causes including the Pakistani Students Association of Australia (PSAA) as their Honorary Advisor where he provides advice about issues pertaining to the welfare of Pakistani students.
Kashif is currently completing the Master of Business Administration at Victoria University. As a part of his MBA, he recently visited France for a short student exchange scholarship. He also has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University of Technology
Kashif has received a multitude of awards for his work, including the Enterprising Grade of the Year 2013 from Box Hill Institute, the “Inspiring Youth” Community Award – 2012 initiated by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), and the Victorian Multicultural Award for Excellence – 2011 for Service Delivery to Multicultural Victoria initiated by the Victorian Government. He is also a Deakin Golden Key Honorary Member. He recently visited Malaysia on behalf of the Australian Government on a cultural exchange program for emerging leaders.
Kashif is married and lives in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and sport (namely cricket and football). He is an avid fan of the Pakistani cricket team and the Essendon Bombers.
